The following general rules apply to any sweepstakes conducted by SimpliSafe unless specified otherwise.
Please read these rules before entering a sweepstakes offered by SimpliSafe, Inc. ("we", “our” or "SimpliSafe") on or through the website www.simplisafe.com (the “Sweepstakes”). You agree that, by submitting an entry, you will be bound by these Official Rules and you acknowledge that you satisfy all sweepstakes eligibility requirements. The term “you,” as used in this Agreement, means any person who submits an entry and accepts these Official Rules.
Eligibility. If you are an individual legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and are 18 or older at the time of entry, you are eligible to enter the Sweepstakes. Our employees, their immediate family members (spouses, domestic partners, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren), and our affiliates, advisors or advertising/promotion agencies (and their immediate family members) are not eligible to enter the Sweepstakes.
How to Enter. You may enter the Sweepstakes during the stated entry period stated in the corresponding Sweepstakes promotion (the “Sweepstakes Period”). To enter, you must provide the information requested in the Sweepstake promotion and related entry form “Sweepstakes Entry Form”. If mail-in entries are permitted, unless otherwise indicated in the corresponding Sweepstakes Entry Form they must be postmarked received by the end of the day before the Sweepstakes Period. Each entry consists of either one (1) online entry or one (1) mail-in entry. Limit one mail-in entry per envelope.
Mailing List. By entering the Sweepstakes, you consent to being placed on a mailing list for promotional and other materials for SimpliSafe unless you have indicated otherwise by opting out of receiving such promotional material.
Other Promotions. Please note that we may be running similar sweepstakes at the same time as this Sweepstakes. By entering this Sweepstakes, you will not be eligible to receive any prize awarded in any other sweepstakes unless you enter the other sweepstakes separately.
Prizes. Prizes shall be described in the corresponding Sweepstakes Entry Form. We will award the total number of Prizes indicated therein; in the event this is not indicated the total number of Prizes should be deemed to be one. Each winner (a) will be responsible for paying all costs and expenses related to the Prize that are not specifically mentioned, including, but not limited to, taxes, and any other expenses that might reasonably be incurred by the winner in receiving or using the prize; and (b) may be required to submit his/her social security number or tax payer ID number to SimpliSafe in order to claim the prize. Unless otherwise indicated in the Sweepstakes Entry Form and related entry form, the Prize manufacturer/brand is not a sponsor, does not endorse and/or is not in any way affiliated with the corresponding Sweepstakes. All third-party names, logos, product and service names, designs and slogans used in connection with the Sweepstakes or to identify or describe the Prize are the trademarks of their respective owners.
Prize Drawing. Potential winners will be selected at random drawings to be held on or about the dates listed in the Sweepstakes Entry Form. If no date is indicated, the dates for such drawing should be deemed to be within 5 business days of the end of the Sweepstakes Period. Unless otherwise indicated in the corresponding Sweepstakes Entry Form, to be eligible for a drawing, we must receive online entries by 11:59:59 p.m. (EST) on the end date of the Sweepstakes Period. We, or a third party engaged to operate the Sweepstakes on our behalf, will notify each potential winner by phone or e-mail within 3 business days following the drawing. The winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release. We will select an alternative potential winner if any potential winner does not claim the prize within 72 hours of notification, or meet the eligibility criteria. The prizes will be awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).
Odds of Winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period for each drawing.
Additional Terms. We may, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and in our sole discretion, change these rules or cancel the Sweepstakes at any time; or modify, terminate, or suspend the Sweepstakes should viruses, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond our control corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Sweepstakes or submission of entries. We are not responsible for: (a) lost, misdirected, late, postage due, incomplete, or unintelligible entries or for inaccurate entry information, whether caused by you or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of entries; (b) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Sweepstakes; (c) any error in the operation or transmission, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, or for technical, network, telephone, computer, hardware or software, malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive any entry information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; or (d) injury or damage to your or any other computer resulting from downloading any materials in connection with the Sweepstakes. We may, in our sole discretion, disqualify any individual found to be: (x) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or website; (y) acting in violation of these rules; or (z) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. If your entry is incomplete or if you use robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods, your entry will be void. The authorized subscriber of the e-mail account used to enter the Sweepstakes at the actual time of entry will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these rules in the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same e-mail account. The authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domains associated with the submitted e-mail addresses. No greater than the number of prizes stated in these Official Rules will be awarded. If any technical errors occur in the selection of a potential prize winner or if more prizes are claimed than the number of prizes being awarded as provided in these Official Rules, we may award the prize by random drawing from among all eligible claimants.
Miscellaneous. The Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without reference to its conflicts of law rules. The Sweepstakes and all accompanying materials are © 2023 by SimpliSafe, Inc., and its affiliates. All rights reserved. If you win a prize, you may not transfer, assign, or redeem the prize for cash. We may substitute a prize with a prize of equal or greater value. Each winner agrees (for himself or herself and his or her heirs) that, by accepting the prize, we, along with our affiliates and agents, will have no liability, and will be held harmless by the winner for any liability, loss, injury or damage to property or person, including death, and reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize or participation in the Sweepstakes, even if caused or contributed to by our negligence. Any claims arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes or any other Prize may be brought only in a federal or state court in Massachusetts. If any provisions of these Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect. You agree that our decisions related to the Sweepstakes and all drawings are final. Each winner agrees that, by participating in the Sweepstakes, we may use the winner’s name, image or likeness in any manner and in any medium for our promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
Winner’s List. After we confirm the winners, we will provide the names of any winners upon written request.

Privacy Notice and Governing Terms & Conditions:The Sweepstakes, and all information submitted in connection therewith, is subject to these Official Rules for Sweepstakes, SimpliSafe’s Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and the privacy policy of any third-party partners participating in the performance and delivery of the Sweepstakes.

How to Enter. The Sweepstakes begins at 9:00 am ET on 05 June 2023 and ends at 11:59 pm ET on 30 June 2023 (“Sweepstakes Period”). You may enter the Sweepstakes during the stated entry period by creating or logging into your existing SimpliSafe account, and commenting in the Community post titled “June National Safety Month: Summer Sweepstakes”, or by mail-in entry, which must be postmarked received by the end of the day prior to the Sweepstakes Period. Each entry consists of either one (1) online entry or one (1) mail-in entry. Limit one entry (whether by online or mail-in entry) per person.
Prizes. Three winners will be selected at random to win one of three prize packs, each including (1) SimpliSafe branded pickleball kit, (1) Smart Alarm Indoor Camera, (1) Smoke & CO Detector, and (6) Months of Monitoring Service. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each prize pack will not exceed $500. ARV of all prizes will not exceed $1500, total. If a listed item is unavailable, an item of comparable value will be substituted. We will award the total number of Prizes indicated therein. Each winner (a) will be responsible for paying all costs and expenses related to the Prize that are not specifically mentioned, including, but not limited to, taxes, and any other expenses that might reasonably be incurred by the winner in receiving or using the Prize; and (b) may be required to submit his/her social security number or taxpayer ID number to SimpliSafe in order to claim the prize.
